Either a weekly or monthly benefit is payable in the event of the insured being unable to work
due to accident, sickness or unemployment. The benefit tax free and is payable for a maximum
of two years, with the benefit beginning from as soon as 30 days after a claim is made. The
benefit is limited to a percentage of earnings, or a maximum monthly amount (e.g. 75% of
earnings or £2,500).
